Railway station sign (fragment)

This fragment is part of a rare railway station sign for the old Thameside village of Pangbourne in Berkshire. The sign is believed to have been washed into the sea via the River Thames after the station was closed when the car took precedence in the 1960s.

An alternative theory is that this is part of a discarded sign for a vegetable shop selling mangetouts.
