Baby's shoe

It became customary in the late Oil Age to dress almost exclusively in plastic-derived clothing and footwear (for example, 'fleeces' and nylon). Babies were swathed in plastic from birth and dressed in miniature versions of adult items, such as this plastic shoe. This is an unusual example as it combines both pink and blue colourways in the the same item. Typically items were exclusively pink (denoting a female baby) or blue (for a boy).
