Fantasy doll known as ‘Laa-Laa’

As the natural world became increasingly degraded, families - especially children - longed to escape to a nostalgic fantasy world. They dreamed of living in La-La land, a grassy floral landscape filled with birdsong and where rabbits still roamed free. This doll depicts Laa-Laa, an imaginary being who epitomised this idealised world, loving to dance and sing in her own carefree world. Everybody wanted to be Laa-Laa too.
