Symbol of Material Extremism

Material Extremism was a cult of popular individualism, which was built on the all-important  ‘freedom to buy' principle and which glorified the accumulation of material possessions. It prevailed in the early 21st century before finally falling into disrepute following the Second Great Banking Collapse in 2023. Time was a significant obsession of Material Extremists, for whom "Time is money' was a popular motto. This time-piece, believed to be a late Rolex, is an important symbol of the movement.
